Job Summary
Managing a caseload of low to moderate complexity property and casualty insurance claims, the full-time Virginia Licensed Claims Examiner will analyze coverage, facts, and liability while providing exceptional customer service in a virtual environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform coverage, liability, and damage analysis on all claims assignments
- Negotiate settlements and assist in managing litigated files
- Maintain accurate documentation and provide regular updates to all parties involved in a claim
Required qualifications
- High school diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum of one year of P&C claims handling experience for Claims Examiner; three years for Senior Claims Examiner
- Experience handling liability and coverage issues, bodily injury claims, and property damage claims
- Adjuster license and/or certifications preferred
- Ability to obtain required state adjusters' licenses within six months of training completion
