Job Summary

A company is looking for a Claims Specialist to manage lower-level workers' compensation claims under supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive claims, confirm policy coverage, and acknowledge claims
• Determine the validity and compensability of claims while establishing reserves and authorizing payments
• Manage non-complex medical-only claims and communicate claim status with relevant parties

Required Qualifications and Education

• Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and related experience
• Minimum of 1 year of industry experience and claims management preferred
• State Certification as an Experienced Examiner
• VA Claims Handling Experience is required
