Job Summary

To support a high-impact clinical environment, the fully remote Virginia Licensed Clinical Documentation Specialist will leverage nursing expertise to evaluate inpatient medical records for accuracy and compliance, while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and managing a steady caseload.

Key responsibilities

• Review inpatient medical records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
• Identify documentation gaps and issue physician queries to resolve inconsistencies
• Provide education to providers to enhance documentation practices and support accurate coding outcomes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
• Minimum of two years of acute care hospital experience
• Virginia Registered Nurse licensure required
• Experience as a Clinical Documentation Specialist preferred
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting
