Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Virginia Licensed Clinical Specialist will review clinical assessments, develop Plans of Care for long-term care insurance, and engage with claimants and their families to ensure quality service and support for aging or chronically ill populations.
Key responsibilities
- Review clinical assessments to determine chronic illness status and create supporting documentation for Plans of Care
- Collaborate with field assessors and facility staff to gather additional health information on claimants or members
- Communicate with claimants and their families to update health records and provide new care plans through telephonic assessments
Required qualifications
- Current RN license residing in a Nursing License Compact state with licensure in their residential state
- Minimum of 3 years of professional clinical experience in case management, home care, or rehabilitation, preferably with a geriatric population
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Outlook and Word, and proficiency with workflow management tools and CRM
- Ability to handle inbound and outbound calls effectively while managing data input into digital platforms
- Demonstrated critical thinking capabilities and independent decision-making skills
