Virginia Licensed Coding Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting Radiology services in a fully remote capacity, the Virginia Licensed Coding Specialist will apply advanced CPT and ICD-10 coding expertise to ensure accurate coding, regulatory compliance, and timely reimbursement, while collaborating with a team focused on quality and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assign accurate CPT, ICD-10, and modifier coding for radiology procedures and services
• Analyze clinical documentation to support compliant coding and reimbursement practices
• Identify and resolve coding discrepancies and documentation-related issues

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of relevant coding experience required
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare reimbursement practices
• Experience in Radiology coding preferred
