Job Summary
Supporting Radiology services in a fully remote capacity, the Virginia Licensed Coding Specialist will apply advanced CPT and ICD-10 coding expertise to ensure accurate coding, regulatory compliance, and timely reimbursement, while collaborating with a team focused on quality and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Review and assign accurate CPT, ICD-10, and modifier coding for radiology procedures and services
- Analyze clinical documentation to support compliant coding and reimbursement practices
- Identify and resolve coding discrepancies and documentation-related issues
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of relevant coding experience required
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare reimbursement practices
- Experience in Radiology coding preferred
