Virginia Licensed Corporate Controller

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Corporate Controller to lead and manage the accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and job cost accounting
• Manage and maintain Work-in-Process (WIP) schedules, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and job profitability analysis
• Lead the monthly closing process and provide financial insights to executive leadership for strategic decision-making

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA strongly preferred
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in construction accounting
• Strong experience with Work-in-Process (WIP) reporting and percentage-of-completion accounting
• Prior experience in public accounting is highly desirable
