Virginia Licensed Data Center Architect

Job Summary

Seeking a highly motivated Virginia Licensed Data Center Architect SME, the contract position offers remote work and focuses on providing technical guidance, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and overseeing architectural design for mission-critical data center projects.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the architectural SME and technical advisor throughout all project phases
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, design consultants, and contractors to administer design documents and enforce standards
• Provide rigorous reviews of architectural work packages, ensuring compliance with life safety, ADA, and core building design standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a closely related field
• 7+ years of experience in architectural design focused on large-scale industrial or mission-critical facilities
• Strong understanding of complex building systems, including life safety systems and building envelopes
• Expert knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and ADA compliance
• Professional architectural licensure (RA, AIA, or equivalent) preferred
