Job Summary
To support student learning in Diesel Technology, the part-time Virginia Licensed Diesel Technology Adjunct will plan and deliver instruction, engage with students in various formats, and provide timely feedback on academic progress both in-person and online.
Key responsibilities
- Create a learning environment that facilitates students' acquisition of knowledge and skills in Diesel Technology
- Align course activities with learning outcomes and employ active learning strategies to engage students
- Deliver instruction and conduct assessments in accordance with college policies, providing prompt feedback to students
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a teaching or related field, or an associate's degree with demonstrated competency in the teaching field
- Two years of related occupational experience
- ASE certified Medium/Heavy Truck Technician in the areas being taught, or obtaining certification within one year of employment
- Recent diesel training within the past five years with a transcript or certification from the program
- Ability to communicate effectively in an electronic format
