Job Summary

Supporting emergency preparedness and response operations, the full-time salaried Virginia Licensed Emergency Coordinator will specialize in Search and Rescue training, managing logistical and administrative tasks for the SAR Program while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver Search and Rescue training programs, including reserving training venues and preparing materials
• Provide administrative support for maintaining training records, calendars, and processing reimbursements
• Serve as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring excellent customer service and effective communication

Required qualifications

• Knowledge of adult education principles and emergency management response training, particularly in wilderness and disaster SAR
• Experience with Learning Management Systems and exercise development processes
• Familiarity with state procurement policies for travel arrangements and reimbursements
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain organized records in a fast-paced environment
• Considerable experience in rescue and recovery operations, including knowledge of federal and state SAR techniques
