Job Summary

To support a diverse student body, the part-time Virginia Licensed French Instructor will teach French courses, engage students through various instructional methods, and provide timely feedback in both remote and in-person settings.

Key responsibilities:

• Create a learning environment that facilitates the acquisition of knowledge and skills in French
• Align course activities with learning outcomes and employ active learning strategies to enhance student engagement
• Deliver instruction and conduct assessments of student learning, providing meaningful feedback and holding office hours

Required qualifications:

• Master's Degree in French or a related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in French
• Demonstrated competency in teaching French at the college level
• Experience with learning management systems, such as Canvas
• Proven teaching strategies that promote student success
• Strong technology skills for effective instruction and communication
