Job Summary
To support faculty and research staff, the full-time Virginia Licensed Grant Administrator will independently manage a portfolio of pre-award proposals, ensuring compliance and timely submission of research funding applications in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the development and submission of proposals for externally funded research and sponsored programs
- Interpret funding opportunity announcements and prepare budgets, justifications, and required forms for submission
- Provide guidance on sponsor requirements and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate successful submissions
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in finance, business administration, public administration, or a related field, or a bachelor's degree with equivalent professional experience
- Working knowledge of pre-award project lifecycle activities related to externally funded research
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel for budget development
- Considerable knowledge of federal regulations and sponsor requirements related to pre-award compliance
- Experience supporting sponsored research proposals, including budget development and internal review workflows
