Job Summary

Virginia Licensed Health Information Instructor, responsible for teaching Health Information Management courses in a part-time capacity, either online or in-person, while providing student feedback and fostering a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a learning environment that promotes student knowledge acquisition
• Align course activities with learning outcomes and provide timely feedback to students
• Conduct assessments of student learning and hold office hours for student engagement

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or an Associate of Applied Science with national certification and two years of relevant experience
• Master's degree in a related field and credentialed RHIT or CHPS preferred
• Five years of recent experience in the health information management field
• Two years of teaching experience in didactic or clinical settings
• Proficiency in technology and learning management systems like CANVAS
