Virginia Licensed HVAC Technician

Job Summary

Maintaining a safe and comfortable campus environment, the full-time Virginia Licensed HVAC Technician will perform operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems, assist with general repairs, and manage inventory while utilizing a computerized maintenance management system.

Key responsibilities

• Perform operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems and related building equipment
• Assist with general building repairs, classroom setups, and campus deliveries
• Maintain inventory of parts and materials while participating in safety training and inspections

Required qualifications

• Education, technical training, and/or experience in facility maintenance and building system repair
• HVAC Journeyman and Universal CFC certification or ability to obtain within 12 months
• Knowledge of facility maintenance principles, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Ability to diagnose and repair building systems using various tools
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to establish effective working relationships
