Virginia Licensed Internal Audit Director

Job Summary

Leading a remote team, the full-time Virginia Licensed Internal Audit Director will oversee the Internal Audit program, manage complex audits, and ensure compliance with audit standards while collaborating with key stakeholders in the healthcare revenue cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and develop Internal Audit team members, ensuring high-quality audit execution and compliance with standards
• Participate in enterprise risk assessments and develop the annual audit plan by identifying significant organizational risks
• Lead complex audits, evaluate findings, and communicate results and recommendations to management and governance committees

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, information systems, healthcare administration, or related field
• CPC, CCS, RHIA, or RHIT certification required
• 7+ years of progressive internal or external audit experience, particularly in healthcare revenue cycle operations
• Experience leading audits and assessing risk in complex revenue cycle processes
• Professional certification such as CIA, CISA, or CPA preferred or required within two years of hire
