Job Summary

To support student learning in the field of Information Technology, a part-time Virginia Licensed IT Instructor will plan, organize, and teach courses in various formats, providing timely feedback and engaging with students to promote their academic success.

Key responsibilities

• Create a learning environment that facilitates the acquisition of knowledge and skills in Information Technology
• Align course activities with learning outcomes and employ active learning strategies to foster student engagement
• Deliver instruction and conduct assessments in accordance with college policies, providing meaningful feedback to students

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the teaching field or an associate degree with demonstrated competency
• Minimum of two years of work experience in IT
• Certifications such as A+, Network+, Microsoft, or CISCO
• Ability to communicate effectively in an electronic format
• Teaching experience at the college level is preferred
