Job Summary
To support student learning in Machining Technology, the part-time Virginia Licensed Machining Instructor will teach courses, provide feedback, and engage with students in classroom, remote, or online settings.
Key responsibilities:
- Create a learning environment that facilitates students' acquisition of knowledge and skills
- Align course activities with learning outcomes and employ active learning strategies to foster engagement
- Deliver instruction, conduct assessments, and hold office hours to support student success
Required qualifications:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) with a minimum of five years of industry experience in machining
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to hands-on, student-centered instruction
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population
- Experience with modern CNC equipment and CAM software
