Job Summary
To innovate sustainable solutions in a high-performing and collaborative environment, a Virginia Licensed Mechanical Engineer will design and produce mechanical construction documents for commercial and federal projects, with opportunities for remote work available.
Key responsibilities
- Utilize Revit and AutoCAD for mechanical HVAC engineering design, including drawing production and specification writing
- Coordinate discipline efforts, conduct construction site reviews, and perform code reviews for MEP systems across various project types
- Assist with the design of controls systems, load calculations, and equipment sizing while potentially engaging in projects across multiple Dewberry offices
Required qualifications
- BSME or Architectural Engineering degree with a mechanical focus
- 5 to 10 years of experience in mechanical HVAC design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Experience with Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and HVAC load calculations using Trane Trace or IES VE software preferred
- USGBC LEED Accredited Professional certification is preferred
