Virginia Licensed Mental Health Therapist

Job Summary

To support a growing initiative focused on student mental health, the part-time Virginia Licensed Mental Health Therapist will provide teletherapy and mental health assessments to PreK-12 students and school staff in partner districts, collaborating with school personnel to enhance mental health support systems in a fully remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver mental health assessments and teletherapy to students and school staff, typically over a 2-4 month period
• Engage in case discussions with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate effective support
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with school leadership, staff, students, and families to address mental health needs

Required qualifications

• Active independent license in Virginia (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PhD/PsyD)
• Minimum of two years of experience providing mental health services to children and youth via telehealth
• Familiarity with therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and motivational interviewing
• Access to reliable, high-speed internet for virtual sessions
• Availability to provide services during and after school hours, including evenings and weekends
