Virginia Licensed Mental Health Therapist

Job Summary

To support a growing mental health initiative in schools, the part-time independent contractor Virginia Licensed Mental Health Therapist will provide teletherapy and mental health assessments to PreK-12 students and school staff, while collaborating with educational teams to enhance mental health services remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver mental health assessments and teletherapy to students and school staff in partner districts
• Engage in case discussions with team members to optimize student care
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with school leadership and staff to address student mental health needs

Required qualifications

• Active independent license in Virginia (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PhD/PsyD)
• Minimum of two years of experience providing mental health services to children and youth via telehealth
• Familiarity with therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and solution-focused therapy
• Access to reliable, high-speed internet
• Availability to provide services during and after school hours, including weekends
