Virginia Licensed Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

As a contract Virginia Licensed Nurse Practitioner, the role focuses on providing essential mental health care through virtual 30-minute video intake and follow-up appointments, conducting psychiatric evaluations, and managing medication for children, teens, and young adults in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Practice comprehensive mental health medication management via intake and follow-up appointments
• Conduct mental health risk assessments and psychiatric medication evaluations
• Construct patient-centered treatment plans and prescribe psychiatric medications

Required qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program or accredited PA program with relevant certification
• Unrestricted state license in Virginia
• A minimum of 2 years in practice
• Strong preference for candidates with an active DEA license and additional certification or experience with minors
• Must have office space to see clients
