Virginia Licensed Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary

To support a growing pharmacy team, the part-time Virginia Licensed Pharmacy Technician will enter and process prescriptions accurately and efficiently while communicating with customers and ensuring timely dispensing of medications in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Enter new and refill prescriptions into the pharmacy operating system accurately and in a timely manner
• Triage incoming fax prescriptions and ensure all prescriptions assigned for processing are completed during the shift
• Communicate with customers courteously, responding to their needs and routing calls appropriately

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED as per state requirements
• Virginia Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration; National Certification preferred (PTCB)
• 2+ years of related experience, with advanced degree potentially substituting for experience
• Advanced computer skills with pharmacy operations system experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
