Virginia Licensed Physics Adjunct

Job Summary

To enhance student learning, the part-time Virginia Licensed Physics Adjunct will plan, organize, and teach physics courses in a classroom, remote via Zoom, or online environment while providing timely feedback and engaging with students outside of class.

Key responsibilities

• Teach physics courses and provide effective feedback to promote student learning
• Engage with students outside of class through office hours and additional support
• Utilize technology and learning management systems to facilitate course delivery

Required qualifications

• Master's Degree in Physics or a graduate degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Physics
• Teaching experience at the college level
• Familiarity with CANVAS or other learning management systems
• Proven teaching strategies that promote student success
• Strong technology skills for effective course management
