Job Summary
To provide project management oversight for the design and implementation of a replacement licensing and management system, the part-time Virginia Licensed Project Manager will lead team members through process mapping, serve as the main point of contact, and oversee system implementation phases while working mostly remotely with one day onsite each week.
Key responsibilities
- Lead team members through process mapping and requirements gathering for system implementation
- Oversee user acceptance testing and certify that the solution is ready for deployment
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure adherence to project goals, timeframes, and budgets
Required qualifications
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
- Experience in executing Software as a Service (SaaS) or Platform as a Service (PaaS) implementations
- Knowledge of Commonwealth of Virginia policies and procedures related to VITA
- Demonstrated experience in team building and effective communication
- Strong analytical and organizational skills for managing complex projects
