Job Summary
To support a growing team, a Virginia Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide direct patient care, including medication management and diagnostic evaluations, in a remote, full-time position while collaborating with medical staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care for medication management, diagnostic evaluations, and medical assessments
- Educates patients regarding medications, risks, benefits, and reasonable outcome expectations
- Participates in treatment team meetings and assists Medical Directors with patient-facing tasks as needed
Required qualifications
- Masters of Science in Nursing with a Psychiatric/Mental Health emphasis from an accredited program
- Must be licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- 3+ years of experience working as a PMHNP; experience in IOP, PHP, and/or IP preferred
- Experience working with a wide range of ages, including children, teens, young adults, and adults
- Proficiency in the use of electronic health records and Microsoft Office applications
