Virginia Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support a growing practice, the part-time Virginia Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will conduct comprehensive psychiatric intake evaluations for children and adolescents, build meaningful connections with patients and families, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure appropriate ongoing care, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive intake evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for young patients
• Build trust with patients and families, providing education about treatment options and fostering long-term engagement in care
• Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure appropriate matches between patients and ongoing treatment providers

Required qualifications

• Master's Degree from an accredited nursing program and PMHNP-BC certification
• At least one year of independent psychiatric experience working under licensure
• Active Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and/or New Jersey PMHNP, DEA license, and State Prescriptive Authority
• Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per week during peak hours, defined as after 4pm ET on weekdays or any time on weekends
• Experience working with children and adolescents in a psychiatric setting
