Job Summary

To support the Cancer Center's operations, the full-time Virginia Licensed Reimbursement Specialist will manage insurance verification, prior authorizations, and patient financial communications while ensuring accurate billing and coding compliance in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Obtains and verifies insurance benefits and prior authorizations for oncology services
• Communicates financial information with patients and clinical teams, identifying financial assistance programs
• Reviews and prepares documentation for denial management and appeals processes

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Active credential (CPC, CCA, COC, or CIC) within one year of hire
• Five years' experience in healthcare customer service and oncology reimbursement/coding
• Experience in authorization, insurance verification, and medical office billing
• Eligibility to work in the United States and meet Virginia state employment requirements
