Virginia Licensed Respiratory Therapy Adjunct

Job Summary

To support student learning, the part-time Virginia Licensed Respiratory Therapy Adjunct will teach respiratory therapy courses, engage with students through office hours, and provide timely feedback in a classroom, remote, or online setting.

Key responsibilities

• Create a learning environment that facilitates the acquisition of knowledge and skills in respiratory therapy
• Align course activities with student learning outcomes and employ active learning strategies to enhance student engagement
• Deliver instruction and conduct meaningful assessments of student learning while adhering to college policies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in respiratory therapy or a related field from a regionally accredited institution
• Two or more years of occupational experience in respiratory therapy
• Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credentials and licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Virginia
• Ability to communicate effectively in an electronic format
• Teaching experience at the college level is preferred
