Virginia Licensed Senior Claims Examiner

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Claims Examiner - Claims Specialist focused on Property Damage, Construction Defect, and Bodily Injury.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of moderate to high complexity P&C insurance claims
• Perform coverage, liability, and damage analysis on claims and negotiate settlements
• Provide technical guidance and exceptional customer service to insureds, claimants, and attorneys

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Minimum of three years (Senior Claims Examiner) or seven years (Claims Specialist) of relevant claims handling experience
• Experience with complex coverage issues and multi-jurisdictional claims
• Adjuster license and/or certifications preferred
• Ability to obtain required state adjusters' licenses within six months of training completion
