Virginia Licensed Senior Security Engineer

Job Summary

Serving as a technical leader within the security engineering team, the full-time Virginia Licensed Senior Security Engineer will oversee security tooling projects, provide mentorship, and ensure alignment with security best practices in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee various security tooling and project initiatives while providing strategic direction for security engineering efforts
• Coordinate projects supporting the Security Engineering Manager and assist in the development of security engineering staff
• Implement security frameworks and lead agile IT projects, ensuring alignment with security best practices

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or a bachelor's degree with equivalent work experience
• Strong knowledge of IAM, cloud security tools, and modern security frameworks
• Advanced scripting and automation skills with languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Experience leading agile IT projects and coordinating cross-functional teams
• Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS, Azure, or GCP are preferred
