Job Summary
To support complex hydrologic and hydraulic modeling assignments, the full-time Virginia Licensed Senior Water Engineer will manage modeling tasks, ensure quality assurance of technical deliverables, and collaborate with internal teams and clients while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and execute complex hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tasks, ensuring quality assurance for deliverables
- Assist in marketing the firm's capabilities to establish and enhance client relationships
- Develop and apply advanced hydrologic/hydraulic models for floodplain delineation and stormwater infrastructure evaluation
Required qualifications
- Master's Degree in Hydrology, Water Resources, or Civil/Environmental Engineering with a focus on surface water processes
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Eight or more years of experience applying 1D and 2D hydrologic/hydraulic models to complex projects
- Advanced experience with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and other modeling platforms
- Proficiency in GIS integration with QGIS/ArcGIS for terrain processing and model inputs
