Job Summary
To support students with communication challenges, the part-time Virginia Licensed Speech-Language Assistant will provide therapy services under supervision, develop progress reports, and ensure compliance with educational regulations while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Implement speech and language services as outlined in each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Communicate with parents and teachers to develop schedules that promote student participation and attendance
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and interventions
Required qualifications
- Active speech-language pathology assistant license issued by the state department of education
- Associate's Degree in Speech Communication or a related field, along with two years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) requirements
- Ability to work independently for at least 20 hours per week during typical school hours
- Proficiency in MS365 and ability to clear a required background check
