Virginia Licensed Staff Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Counsel to manage moderately complex civil litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage all phases of litigation, including conducting legal research and leading settlement negotiations
• Support Senior Trial Counsel in case handling and preparation throughout the litigation process
• Develop and implement advanced legal strategies and ensure compliance with legal standards and documentation

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) or LLB degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the bar in Virginia and in good standing
• Minimum of 5 years of trial attorney experience, preferably in insurance law
• Proven experience managing moderately complex litigation with favorable outcomes
• General knowledge of insurance law and related regulations
