Job Summary

A company is looking for a Plan Review Engineer (Structural Plan Engineer).

Key Responsibilities

• Review plans for compliance with building codes and standards, providing written feedback to project managers
• Conduct interdisciplinary inspections during construction to ensure adherence to approved documents and regulations
• Process building permits and assist in training staff on code-related issues

Required Qualifications

• ABET accredited Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent experience
• Significant experience in structural systems evaluation and building inspection processes
• Knowledge of building codes, life safety codes, and construction methods
• Virginia-Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required; additional certifications must be obtained within one year
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment
