Job Summary

Reviewing and interpreting chains of title for mapped properties, the full-time Virginia Licensed Title Examiner will prepare and issue accurate preliminary reports while ensuring compliance with property and tax information requirements in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify the completeness and accuracy of property and tax information for title searches
• Review and interpret documents, maps, and instruments in the chain of title from various property information systems
• Support the Searching Unit as needed for product workflow and ensure all necessary documents are included in search packages

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the title industry
• Strong knowledge of legal descriptions and property locating techniques
• Familiarity with real property databases and ability to compile accurate title abstracts
• Understanding of title insurance practices and real estate law
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while producing high-quality, accurate results
