Job Summary

To ensure compliance with financial regulations, the part-time Virginia Licensed Travel Account Specialist will manage travel and business meal reimbursement requests, providing exceptional customer service while processing and auditing expense reports in accordance with university policies.

Key responsibilities

• Audit and process travel-related and business meal expense reports to ensure compliance with regulations
• Provide guidance and support to internal and external customers regarding travel regulations and expense reporting
• Maintain accurate documentation and timely processing of reimbursements using Workday Expenses

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and government travel processes
• Experience with automated accounting systems and proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Ability to perform basic calculations and analyze audit expense reports
• Experience in an accounts payable or fiscal-related position adhering to regulations
