Virginia Licensed Virtual Special Education Teacher

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Fully Virtual Special Education Teacher for a Virginia School District to provide personalized instruction and support to students with disabilities, ensuring their academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs in collaboration with parents, guardians, and other educational professionals
• Deliver engaging virtual instruction using a variety of instructional strategies and assistive technologies
• Provide ongoing assessment of student progress, adjust instructional methods as needed, and maintain accurate records of student performance and interventions

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education in the relevant state
• Proven experience working with students with disabilities in a virtual or blended learning environment
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
• Position is on a 1099 contract basis and requires liability insurance by the start of the position
