Job Summary
Seeking a part-time Virginia Licensed Welding Instructor, the role focuses on teaching welding courses in various formats, including classroom and online, while engaging students and providing timely feedback to enhance their learning experience.
Key responsibilities
- Create a learning environment that facilitates student acquisition of welding knowledge and skills
- Align course activities with learning outcomes and employ active learning strategies to engage students
- Deliver instruction and conduct assessments to evaluate student learning, providing meaningful feedback
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate degree in Welding is preferred
- Five years of current occupational experience in welding
- Knowledge of welding theory, principles, and processes, including SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW
- Ability to demonstrate welding techniques in classroom and laboratory settings
- Experience with learning management systems, preferably CANVAS
