Job Summary
To support a busy legal team, the full-time Virginia Licensed Workers' Compensation Paralegal will manage a high-volume caseload, draft legal documents, and assist attorneys with litigation and case management tasks.
Key responsibilities:
- Draft legal memoranda, pleadings, subpoenas, and discovery motions while ensuring compliance with court procedures
- Organize and process incoming records and invoices, and follow up on outstanding records through various communication methods
- Conduct case law research using Lexis Advance to support defense strategies and prepare attorneys for mediation and trial
Required qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a practice group paralegal
- Familiarity with state courts and e-filing procedures
- Experience in drafting legal documents and managing billing processes
- Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Word
- Experience with Aderant Total Office (ATO) and NetDocs preferred
