Virginia Senior Title Examiner

Job Summary

To ensure the accuracy and completeness of property titles, the full-time Virginia Senior Title Examiner will examine public records and legal documents, identify defects or encumbrances, and provide detailed reports while working both onsite in Manassas and remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough examinations of property titles and identify any defects, restrictions, or encumbrances
• Write preliminary reports and coverage guarantees in accordance with title insurance practices and state guidelines
• Provide coaching and direction to Title Examiner I and II positions as needed

Required qualifications:

• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in title examination
• Comprehensive knowledge of reading legal descriptions for real property
• Proficiency in conducting searches of public records and legal documents
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to review complex legal documents and identify discrepancies
