Virtual Chief Information Security Officer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. Manager, Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO).

Key Responsibilities

• Embed directly with 7-10 high-growth clients as their fractional CISO, architecting security solutions and configuring security tools
• Build trusted relationships with client leadership, providing real-time security guidance during product development and incident management
• Guide clients through compliance frameworks like SOC 2 and ISO 27001, conducting assessments and managing third-party risk

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on information security experience with client-facing and/or consulting roles
• Proven track record as a CISO or senior security leader in high-growth technology companies
• Expertise in cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and security tools (SIEM, CSPM, vulnerability scanners)
• Deep understanding of modern development practices (CI/CD, containerization, Kubernetes)
• Experience implementing security programs for companies scaling from Series A to IPO
