Virtual Chief Information Security Officer

Job Summary

To enhance system security and compliance, the fully remote Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) will manage governance initiatives, assess and mitigate risks, ensure adherence to regulatory standards, and provide technical expertise in security engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining cybersecurity policies, frameworks, and compliance with regulations
• Collaborate with teams on security architecture, conduct assessments, and recommend remediation strategies
• Contribute to incident response plans and participate in security incident investigations and monitoring

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Cyber Security Engineer, Security Analyst, or similar role
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and compliance frameworks
• In-depth knowledge of security technologies and incident response processes
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CASP+, or GIAC are highly desirable
