Job Summary

A medical association has an open position for a Virtual Contract State Affairs Associate.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Reviewing, identifying, monitoring, and analyzing introduced state legislation and proposed regulations
  • Responding to member and state component society requests regarding state legislation, regulation, and related issues
  • Developing relationships with the medical community in order to create opportunities for coalition

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Bachelor’s degree required preferably in political science, public policy or related field
  • 3 years of state affairs experience, including state legislative and regulatory processes
  • Prior analysis of state legislation and regulations
  • Experience monitoring state legislation and regulations via State Net or similar tracking software
  • Strong legal and legislative research and writing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other productivity focused tools
