Job Summary
A medical association has an open position for a Virtual Contract State Affairs Associate.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Reviewing, identifying, monitoring, and analyzing introduced state legislation and proposed regulations
- Responding to member and state component society requests regarding state legislation, regulation, and related issues
- Developing relationships with the medical community in order to create opportunities for coalition
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Bachelor’s degree required preferably in political science, public policy or related field
- 3 years of state affairs experience, including state legislative and regulatory processes
- Prior analysis of state legislation and regulations
- Experience monitoring state legislation and regulations via State Net or similar tracking software
- Strong legal and legislative research and writing skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other productivity focused tools
