Job Summary
A non-profit organization has a current position open for a Virtual Copy Editor.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and maintaining the company's editorial style guide
- Collaborating with marketing, social media, web, and design teams, serving as a resource for style and tone
- Correcting grammar, spelling, syntax, and punctuation errors and checking content against the developed style guide
Position Requirements Include:
- Excellent copy editing skills that meet the brand voice of the organization
- Two to five years of experience in copy editing or similar role
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is required (English, Communications, etc.)
- Skilled in writing in the English language, with a focus on an editorial style
- Proficiency in GSuite, Asana, Microsoft Office, and/or willingness to learn new technology platforms required
- Maintains subject matter expertise with evolving priorities
