Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and engaging individual to join our white-glove customer service team and grow our sales outreach efforts, including but not limited to foodie events, social media, community outreach, etc. The ideal candidate is meticulous and thorough, eager to solve problems, stays calm under pressure, and enjoys discussing meat and cooking with a wide range of people on the phone and online. Familiarity and experience in the kosher food world is highly desired and is a big plus. Strong background in sales or marketing is highly preferred. This position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Google Apps, as well as sufficient technological skills to navigate a web-based admin portal to edit customer orders. Experience using ZenDesk is desired, but not required. There is potential for an effective candidate to grow within this position into a sales management role within the next year.

Start Date: ASAP
Work location: This is a remote position. You must have a computer and a quiet place with reliable Internet connection and cell phone reception (or landline) where you can work. (We will provide you with a company cell phone and headset. You will be expected to provide your own computer and Internet connection.) Must reside in the USA or be able to provide a US address. Growth is easiest for a candidate based in the NY Area.

Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 12pm-9pm ET
Friday: 12pm-5pm EST (earlier close in Winter)
Occasional Sunday work (fairs, promotional events, etc.)
Sunday hours and seasonal overtime will be required during holiday busy seasons
(There is potential for this position to transition to a day-time position in August 2017 and a salaried position in 6-12 months for the right candidate.)

Compensation:
$12.00/hour start rate (yearly review & raise opportunity)
Time off: 10 paid personal days, 6 paid sick days, paid Jewish holidays (up to 14 days/year) plus 4 unpaid US holidays

Responsibilities:
Answering phone calls and responding to emails using ZenDesk Support and ZenDesk Talk, including taking orders, answering questions about products and delivery options, and responding to complaints/problems
Promoting and selling products to existing customers via sales calls and emails
Generating sales leads via targeted community outreach, partnerships, social media, etc.
Following up with new customers via phone to ensure their expectations were met and exceeded
Coordinating with Operations Department regarding order fulfillment
Coordinating with delivery personnel
Data entry and clerical work
Other duties as assigned
