Job Summary
A healthcare company is filling a position for a Virtual Data Scientist.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Creating and verifying integrity of large data sets to centralize management and reporting of data
- Working with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions
- Mining and analyzing data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development
Position Requirements Include:
- 4-6 years of experience manipulating data sets
- Bachelor’s or Master's Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field
- 3-5 years’ experience with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL
- Experience with Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development
- Experience using statistical computer languages to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
