Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Communicating with internal coding staff findings
- Analyzing and identifying opportunities for documentation improvement
- Leveraging extensive knowledge of federal, state, and payer-specific regulations and policies
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Minimum 2-3 years procedure coding
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, medical billing and payment methodologies
- Strong knowledge of coding disciplines
- Coding certifications (AAPC or AHIMA), (CPC, CCS-P, RHIA, RHIT) required
