Job Summary

A speech recognition company needs applicants for an opening for a Virtual Inpatient Coder.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Reviewing medical records to identify pertinent diagnoses
• Ensuring appropriate DRG assignment
• Abstracting appropriate information from the medical record

Qualifications Include:

• CCS, RHIA or RHIT with inpatient experience
• Must have a minimum of 3 years of related acute care coding experience
• Understands medical terminology
• Extensive knowledge of ICD-10 CM/PCS and CPT/HCPCS coding principles
• Must pass inpatient coding and ICD-10 CM/PCS coding proficiency test
