Job Summary

A healthcare company needs applicants for an opening for a Virtual Insurance Authorizations Health Services Specialist.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Collecting and reviewing clinical information for completeness and transfers
• Authorizing referrals within authority guidelines and department standards
• Being responsible for answering all incoming calls to the Medical Management Department

Qualifications Include:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficient Microsoft Office Skills
• Experience with medical billing and/or insurance authorizations
• Knowledge of the medical A/R process
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
