Job Summary

Pioneer in language services needs applicants for an opening for a Japanese to English Academic Translator.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Researching legal, technical and scientific phraseology to find the correct translation
  • Proofreading and editing final translated versions and providing clients with a grammatically correct final version of the translated text
  • Reading through academic manuscripts written in Japanese and rewriting them in the target language, ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Proficiency in Japanese and English
  • Educational degree or substantial work experience
  • Understanding and knowledge of technical terminology
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word
  • Good time management skills (to meet deadlines)
