An online retailer has an open position for a Remote Language Engineer.
Must be able to:
- Work on a high-impact, high-visibility product
- Develop and deliver logical, testable, maintainable, and efficient language modeling solutions within the Alexa system
- Apply data science techniques
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python, bash)
- Knowledge of phonetics/phonology and ability to analyze/validate phonetic transcriptions
- Working proficiency in English
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux command line tools
- Native or near-native fluency in a non-English language
- Practical knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git) and agile development
